*Tyga for Shmack Clothing. *Time Magazine: Fragile X Syndrome Story.

A couple weeks ago, I shot some photos for the streetwear clothing brand, Shmack(shmackclothing.com). The photos are going to be used in an ad, featuring rap artist, Tyga (www.myspace.com/tyga). I haven't really gone through them all yet, but here's two outtakes that I liked. I'm pretty sure these aren't going to be used in the ad though.

A while back, I was able to photograph two awesome families in both Huntington Beach and Fresno for Time Magazine. My photos were to accompany a story on Fragile X Syndrome. They finally ran the stories, and it's in the current issue that hits newsstands this week. I'll scan the tear sheets and put it up shortly.

Here's the cover of the issue... If you happen to see it out at your local bookstore or grocery store, etc... pick it up and take a look. The article is interesting in itself...

Wynne, Arkansas.

Just got back from my family reunion in Arkansas the other day. Had such a great time. I have a couple photos... mainly family stuff. I'll post them up over the next few days.

Here's one of my cousin's little boy, J. Gracchus Shaver Jr. He was trying to figure out where that stream of light was coming from.

Yosemite.

I went to Yosemite National Park over the weekend with some good friends for a camping trip. We got to do several hikes that led to some phenomenal look out points of Yosemite Valley. I rarely use those words to describe places I've seen. But one spot was simply breath taking. There was this long ledge of overhanging rock that creates a cliff that drops out for about 4,000ft. or so... straight to the valley floor. It was amazing. I going to make it a point to go back once more before the summer ends.

I got 3 rolls of 120mm. film from my Hasselblad back from the lab. Here's the ones that I really enjoyed.

I haven't processed my 35mm stuff yet. As soon as I do that, I'll post more pictures!

This week, I'm off to Arkansas for a Family Reunion! So stoked. I'll have some photos from that trip as well. Can't wait.

Dark(bath)room.

Feels good to get back into a darkroom to print black and white... even if it's only a makeshift one in my bathroom.
