Time Magazine + New Camera.

Fun news! I shot some photos for Time Magazine a little bit ago (November/December?) for a story on school teachers across the country. I was told they scrapped the story... BUT! I got a call from Martha, my photo editor for Time, on Monday, telling me that they printed the article and that I got the lead photograph for the cover story! She also stated that they almost used my photograph for the cover of the magazine. "Almost" is still good news for me. Especially because I thought the photograph would never get published. Anyways... Below is the spread:

More fun news. My pops purchased a Nikon D3 a couple months ago. The shop just got it in yesterday because there's a long waiting list for the camera. It's Nikon's top of the line camera. The thing's sooo sick. I tested it out today with the prettiest being in my household... a golden retriever named Ledger. He's probably the worst retriever there is...

But with that said, he's such a pretty dog. Love the guy:




And I had to try the high ISO. Here's an untouched photo, shot at 3200ISO.



The 6400 isn't all that bad for how high that ISO is for digital. But it's still not something I'd use. It's an improvement in the right direction for sure. It'll be interesting to see how crazy cameras will get within the next 5-10 years.

Oh man! I almost forgot! New issue of Prequel Magazine is out now! For those who don't know, I work with some guys on this magazine. It's a really fun project that's been going 2 years strong. It's a pocket sized lifestyle magazine that's distributed to boutiques around the country. This issue's awesome! I have a ton of photos in it, and the cover.
