The first photo reminds me of a photograph of musician Dustin Kensrue, taken by Myriam Santos-Kayda (www.myriamsantoskayda.com). Go check her website, she's pretty amazing... I love her work. Maybe that image is what I subconsciously had in my mind when I pressed the shutter... or not. haha.
